New 'Batman v Superman' Action Figurine Might Reveal A Big Spoiler For Lex Luthor

[Warning: potential spoilers ahead.]

It looks like a new action figure set for Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice might be worth more than a thousand spoilers — or at least one major teaser.

Produced by Mattel, the set, which includes both Batman and Superman figurines, also features supervillain Lex Luthor in a pretty iconic suit (of sorts): his Power Armor, which first premiered in DC's Action Comics #544 in June 1983. If the figurine pack is meant to reflect plot points in Snyder's film, then the appearance of Luthor's mega-armor might be revelatory, to say the least.

But then again, this might be more of a nod to the old-school supervillain after all. Lex Luthor, who will be played by Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, American Ultra) in the upcoming film, might indeed don the armor, says the Heroic Hollywood blog — "could Lex be the film's final villain and one of the reasons that Warner Bros. had no issue showing off Doomsday already?" — it might also go against Eisenberg's characterization of the latest Luthor to appear onscreen.

"He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure," said Snyder earlier this year, "other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course."
