Coming up with a list of the most anticipated video games of 2016 is not easy, as there are lots of exciting titles coming our way this year. Nevertheless, we did our best to include some of the most-hyped titles. Without further ado, here are the top video games to launch in 2016, in no particular order.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

Following months of delays, the March release of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was recently postponed again, this time set to launch on Apr. 26. Coming from Naughty Dog, this title is expected to become a whopping hit for PlayStation 4 gamers. This sequel to Nathan Drake's PS3 success will have the directors of Last of Us in charge, shaping up as an exciting adventure for fans of the franchise.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India

Set to launch this year on the PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One and PC, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India from Ubisoft will enable gamers to do their magic in 2.5D environments reminiscent of the arcade gaming glory days.

Dark Souls III

With an official release set for Apr. 12, Dark Souls III has already generated lots of excitement and has gamers on their toes. The latest trailer released in December 2015 offered an intriguing glimpse into the next installment of Dark Souls, inviting gamers to "embrace the dark side." This tough and complex RPG will be making its way to the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Quantum Break

Coming from the talented team behind the popular Max Payne and Alan Wake games, Quantum Break is shaping up as an ambitious title set to hit the Xbox One on Apr. 5.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Among plenty of hot titles expected to hit the scene in 2016, Mass Effect: Andromeda is definitely among the most highly anticipated. This huge action role-playing third-person shooter will come from developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts (EA), set to launch in late 2016 on the Xbox One and PS4. Some gameplay information leaked a couple of months ago, adding more fuel to the fire.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Although it's been delayed to August, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is still coming out in 2016 and it's among the hottest titles to come from Square Enix this year. The nifty action RPG will hit the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as the PC.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst

Continuing the list of hot titles that will launch with a delay, Mirror's Edge Catalyst will launch in May after all, instead of the previously slated February release. The gameplay teaser that surfaced back in October 2015 showed that EA went all out with this exciting first-person parkour game, and it will bring some neat treats in the open world. Mirror's Edge Catalyst will hit the PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 24.

Dishonored 2

Announced back at E3 2015, Dishonored 2 will bring a female protagonist to the forefront and will hit the PS4, Xbox One and PC sometime in the first half of 2016. The announcement trailer revealed a number of things to look forward to and this title is expected to be widely popular among gamers this year.

Firewatch

Set to launch on Feb. 9, Firewatch is an exciting first-person adventure title from the great Sean Vanaman and Jake Rodkin, which already suggests that you can expect an intriguing story. Vanaman and Rodkin were the ones to write the story for Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, and that says a lot. If that's not enough, add Olly Moss on the visual design front and the recipe sounds even better.

Tom Clancy's The Division

Ubisoft announced back in June 2015 at E3 that it will release Tom Clancy's The Division on Mar. 8, 2016, for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. This action RPG will envision a post-apocalyptic New York City with a complex experience, and the recently released action trailer "Silent Night" definitely boosted excitement ahead of the big launch.

No Man's Sky

One of the most ambitious and highly anticipated games of 2016, No Man's Sky promises a unique experience spanning over 18 quintillion planets. The game is set to launch in June for the PS4 and PC, and here's everything you need to know about it.

Batman: A Telltale Series

Not too long ago, Telltale Games announced that it will launch an episodic game series for Batman, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment. It remains unclear just when exactly it will hit the scene, but it will likely reach all platforms.

The Last Guardian

Although it's announced only for the PS4, The Last Guardian is already shaping up as an intriguing game that will likely capture the interest of many. Coming as the sequel to the remarkable Shadow of Colossus that launched on the PS2 a decade ago, The Last Guardian should be an even bigger hit. Sony's demo at E3 was amazing, so prepare for a breathtaking story of a boy and his gigantic griffin-like cat-dragon companion going on great adventures.

More Video Games

This list could go on and on, as there are a number of other highly anticipated titles set to debut in 2016. Aside from the hot games already mentioned, this year will also see the launch of great titles such as Street Fighter V, Cuphead, The Legend of Zelda, Unravel, Below, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Grim Dawn, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, Xcom 2, and others. Prepare for an awesome year in terms of gaming.
