Oppo A30 Hits TENAA, Sports Same Specs And Design As Beefed-Up OnePlus X

Oppo fans could soon be treated to a new phone named Oppo A30.

The Oppo A30 was certified by Chinese telecom regulator TENAA alongside a new OnePlus device, which could be a beefed-up version of the OnePlus X or a mini version of the OnePlus 2.

What makes the device interesting is that it was listed on TENAA's site on the same day as the OnePlus device. Furthermore, the phone's specs are akin to those of the OnePlus phone, except that the latter is listed to sport a black color (albeit the official TENAA photo shows the phone in white).

Also, judging from the two phones' leaked renders, they look almost the same, which signifies that it could be a twin brother of the upcoming new OnePlus X. What appears to be the only difference between the two phones is the branding on their back covers.

Previously, rumors surfaced talking about Oppo and OnePlus to tie-up soon.

We hope to hear more details from these two phone makers about this alleged partnership down the road.

Enhanced Version Of The OnePlus X

A handset with the model number One E1000 has also been certified by Chinese regulator TENAA.

The leaked certification shows the possible specs under the phone's hood.

Phone's Specs

According to the TENAA listing, the OnePlus phone will rock a 4.99-inch AMOLED display and 1,080 x 1,920 resolution. It will come packed with Snapdragon 810 SoC clocked at 2 GHz. The processor will house an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU.

The phone will be equipped with 16 GB internal memory and 3 GB of RAM. For those who require extra storage, a microSD card slot will come with the smartphone to accommodate up to 128 GB. This phone will come out of the box running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

What's more, it will boast a 13-megapixel main snapper and an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats.

Additionally, the phone will support 4G LTE, Bluetooth, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS.

Given this combination of specs, people speculate that the company could be preparing for an enhanced version of the OnePlus X. Others, nevertheless, guess that the phone could be the forthcoming mini version of the OnePlus 2.

Rumors indicate that the phone could be unwrapped early this year, perhaps during the CES 2016 trade fair.

Not much is known yet about these two phones. It has yet to be revealed if these handsets will be exclusive to the Chinese market or if OnePlus and Oppo will also bring them to other parts of the globe, so it would be wise not to get our hopes up.

GFXBench Leak

In December, a GFXBench result of the rumored upcoming OnePlus X indicated that the smartphone will sport a 4.6-inch display, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The leaked info also showed that the phone could be adorned with a 12-megapixel main camera.
