Magellan To Reveal Three New RoadMate DashCam Navigators At CES 2016

Magellan is crowding the dash cam market with three new choices that it is set to unveil at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 next week in Las Vegas.

That's where the portable GPS navigation manufacturer will introduce its new RoadMate family of dash cam navigators led by the flagship model, the RoadMate 7670T-LM, and 6630T-LM and 7630T-LM devices.

Magellan says its RoadMate 7670T-LM is already a CES 2016 Innovation Awards honoree in the Vehicle Intelligence category, as the device allows drivers to record traffic incidents with dual HD, independent-rotating cameras, while also alerting users of lane departures and front collision avoidance.

The RoadMate five-inch 6630T-LM and seven-inch 7630T-LM offer some of the same warning features as its flagship model, but don't possess as wide-angle of cameras. Still, they can also be used for 1080p full HD recording and impact-event recording in the case of an accident.

"Our new DashCam Navigators give users flexibility, peace of mind, and the confidence gained from using dependable Magellan engineering," Stig Pedersen, Magellan associate vice president of product management, said in a company press release statement. "Plus, each model comes with well-known Magellan navigation features such as landmark guidance, junction view, parking mode and red light and speed camera warnings from PhantomALERT for improved driver safety."

Magellan plans on releasing its line of RoadMate DashCam Navigators to U.S. and Canadian retailers as well as online during the second quarter of next year with prices starting at $179.99, presumably for the 6630T-LM model.
