For all customers shopping for a tablet over the holidays, LG wants to be a last-minute player with a brand-new model.
On Tuesday, the company launched its new tablet, the G Pad II 8.3 LTE. The new device will be available in South Korea on Wednesday, December 23, before being released in the United States at a date to be announced to follow. According to Slash Gear, the tablet will be available in brown gold and include a built-in Stylus with pre-loaded Microsoft Office apps.
Made for a multi-media experience, the G Pad II 8.3 LTE boasts a full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution display, powered by an Android 5.1.1 operating system and a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor at 1.5GHz. The tablet also has 2GB of memory, loaded up to enable fluid video playback.
The tablet also offers its customers an 8 megapixel camera on its rear with a 2 megapixel camera on the front with a 4800 mAh internal battery.
Additional features on LG's new tablet include Bluetooth 4.1 compatibility and standard GPS capability.
The price of the G Pad II 8.3 LTE has yet to be announced, although it figures to be involved in LG's smartphone deals and data plans.
Doesn't hurt that LG is getting it out before the New Year strikes, either.
