Disney Releases The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Play Set For 'Infinity 3.0'

In celebration of the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney announced the release of a new play set for Infinity 3.0 inspired by the film.

After watching the movie, fans of the franchise can now continue the story in their own living room in the toy-to-life sandbox video game using newly-added characters, including Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron.

The play set starter pack comes with both Finn and Rey, with the latter two characters available for purchase separately, as well as the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Power Disc Pack, which includes Finn's Stormtrooper costume and Resistance tactical strike.

The play set allows gamers to control Rey and fly the Millennium Falcon or go on missions to defeat the First Order as Poe and Finn. The set also includes new items, such as brand new lightsabers and the ability to unlock and play with all the characters from Star Wars: Twilight of the Republic, Star Wars: Rise Against the Empire and Star Wars Rebels sets.

The storyline of the new play set is said to follow closely to the events in the film. According to Comic Book Resources, gamers will get to explore the new planet Takodana.

The play set's official description reads as follows:

Takodana is a forest planet. It's home to a band of smugglers and traders. The players quickly discover a great way to get what they need is to help the locals solve their unique problems not all of which are on the up and up.

The Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars: The Force Awakens play set is available starting today for $34.99, with the Poe Dameron and Kylo Ren figures retailing for $13.99 each. The Star Wars: The Force Awakens-themed Power Disc Pack retails for $9.99.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, iOS, Android and Windows.
