‘Destiny’ Iron Banner Will Come With New Weapons, Helmets And PlayStation-Exclusive Armor On Dec. 29

Iron Banner is returning on Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. PST, and it's going to bring along a slew of new weapons and helmets for Destiny players everywhere, including an armor set exclusive to PS3 and PS4.

What's notable about the multiplayer mode's comeback this time is that it's going back to Control, where the developer changed it to Clash back in the November update.

While the most recent Bungie Weekly Update isn't exactly full of new developments, it is going to include a ton of equipment and weapons that Iron Banner participants can get their hands on.

"Champions who rank up can acquire endgame gear from the Lord [Saladin] himself, or from drops that arrive at the end of completed matches," Bungie says.

First off, the update will bring around the new auto rifle Haakon's Hatchet and Deidris' Retort shotgun.

Lastly, here's how to get them:

Available from Lord Saladin:

Rank 3: Boots

Rank 4: Helmets and Auto Rifles

Rank 5: Shotgun

Available as Post-Game Drops:

Rank 2: Helmets

Rank 3: Class Items and Auto Rifles

Rank 4: Shotgun

Bungie also reminds players that they will only be able to compete in the Sparrow Racing League until the update rolls out on Dec. 29, giving the last chance to earn 320 Light armor drops. The developer also notes that there's only a few days left to submit a video for the Sparrow Racing League Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Xbox One players will be delighted to know that another Bungie Bounty will take place on Dec. 22.

On a related note, Sony held a contest with a real-life Titan armor set as the prize just recently, where the lucky winner can now hit the town fully clad in Destiny equipment.
