Jeff Williams, the former senior vice president of Operations at Apple, will step up as chief operating officer, with Johny Srouji newly-appointed as Apple's executive team as senior vice president for Hardware Technologies, the company officially announced in a press statement released on Dec. 17.
Other new and updated additions to Apple's roster include Tor Myhren, formerly of Grey Group, who will "bring his creative talents to [Apple's] advertising and marcom functions," as vice president of Marketing Communications, and senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Phil Schiller, will expand his role to include overseeing the multi-platformed App Store.
"We are fortunate to have incredible depth and breadth of talent across Apple's executive team. As we come to the end of the year, we're recognizing the contributions already being made by two key executives," said Apple CEO Tim Cook of the appointments.

Williams first joined the tech company in 1998 as head of worldwide procurement, and in 2004, the newly-minted COO was named vice president of Operations, followed by a promotion to monitoring supply chain, service and support, as well as initiatives that protect Apple's workers, since 2010. Williams is also responsible for many of the developments the Apple Watch has undergone in recent years.
