The DC TV universe is definitely marking its territory on The CW, with the conclusion of the third season of "Arrow," and the recent opening of the first season of "The Flash." Not too long from now, another series will join the network's growing DC community and surely level up The CW's geek-TV game.
Early in 2015, the network announced that "Arrow" and "The Flash" were getting a combo spinoff called "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," which has already received a series order from the network.
"Legends of Tomorrow" features characters from "Arrow" and "The Flash," as well as several newbie players, and is dubbed as "possibly the closest we'll ever get to a Justice League live-action TV series," save for a certain unsuccessful 1997 CBS TV pilot.
With its January premiere quickly approaching, character posters, featuring the cast in their much-awaited superhero costumes have just been released.
In the newly released character posters, we see Hawkgirl (Ciara Renée), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Professor Martin Stein - one-half of Firestorm (Victor Garber), Firestorm - the other half (Franz Drameh) Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) and Atom (Brandon Routh).

Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell also appear on the series as The Flash and Arrow, respectively. The series is expected to run for 13 episodes, according to a report.
"Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself," reads The CW's official description of the spinoff, as released in another report.
"Legends of Tomorrow" premieres Jan. 21, Thursday, 8/7c on The CW.
