‘Rise Of The Tomb Raider' PC Launch Tipped By Amazon France

It seems that Square Enix's plans for the PC release of Rise of the Tomb Raider changed again, as the title was spotted on Amazon France's webpage.

The initial plan of the developers was to release the title exclusively for Xbox in 2015, following with a PC release at the beginning of 2016. PlayStation 4 fans were the last on Square Enix's schedule, with the launch of Rise of the Tomb Raider announced for the fall of 2016.

An earlier post on Amazon France showed that the PC variant of the commended title should arrive for PCs on Jan. 29.

The date was removed in the meantime, suggesting that it was nothing more than a placeholder. The fact that there was absolutely no official announcement or any marketing hype predating the PC launch also hint at this possibility. Nevertheless, Amazon has since changed the previously listed Jan. 29 date to March 31.

During the Video Game Awards that took place last week, the gaming company told fans what they can expect from the first DLC for Rise of the Tomb Raider. The DLC is dubbed Baba Yaga. Speculation indicates that Crystal Dynamics and Microsoft want to coordinate their efforts, so the PC release of the main game and the DLC get released shortly one after another.

Reviewers raved when they talked about Rise of the Tomb Raider, as the game successfully rebooted the popular game that launched a few years ago. Furthermore, it brought new content and mechanics that makes it not just great, but quite extraordinary.

The game environment that Square Enix designed is gorgeous and invites players to explore every inch, crevasse and cave. Combat scenarios require flexibility, quickness and skill and are among the most engaging pieces of combat out there. The writers did an awesome job, providing the game with characters that have depth, are credible and connected through a well written story.

The crafting system is complex and getting something done from scraps can be very rewarding. The enjoyment in creating new items can also be plagued by the tedious resource gathering, which is one of the few minuses of the Rise of the Tomb Raider.
