Dolly Parton Plans To Bury A Time Capsule With An Unreleased Track No One Will Hear Until 2046

Welcome to Dollywood, 2046: country music doyenne Dolly Parton has placed an unreleased track into a time capsule that will not be released until roughly 30 years from now.

In an interview with the Today Show, the 70-year old songstress responsible for earworms like "Jolene," "9 to 5" and the original "I Will Always Love You" revealed that the time capsule is due to be opened in honor of her 100th birthday.

Parton showcased the boxed-up capsule during the segment.

"What we're gonna put in this is little pieces from my childhood, from the porch where I used to sit and sing with a tin can for a microphone, and a song I wrote this year called 'My Place in History.' And I'm gonna open it when I'm 100 ..." said the country music icon.

"And if I'm not around ..." added Parton, to which host Willie Geist replied, "You'll be here, Dolly."

"You know, I won't be surprised," Parton laughed.

Little is known about the unheard song, with the exception of a single lyric: "I hope I've earned it and hope you still remember me."

The time capsule is due to be interned within the grounds of Dollywood, a Parton-inspired theme park located in the Knoxville-Smoky Mountains metroplex in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
