Google is going all out with its Star Wars: The Force Awakens promotions. From transforming Gmail to turning its search engine into the iconic Star Wars text crawl, the tech company is clearly just as excited as we are for more Star Wars.
This latest promotion from Google proves it. For a limited time, Google is giving out free Star Wars: The Force Awakens-themed Google Cardboard VR devices for anybody who wants one.
Yes, free. All you have to do is go to the store page, select what design you want (Kylo Ren all the way!) and then fill in your information. That's all there is to it. Keep in mind this deal only allows for one Cardboard per customer, so you can't snag one for your friend.
Haven't heard about Cardboard? Let Google explain:
Google Cardboard is a virtual reality viewer for your smartphone that's actually made of cardboard. Assemble it in 3 easy steps to immerse yourself in engaging VR content.
The Star Wars-themed device will work perfectly with Google's virtual reality Jakku experience, which lets users explore the desert planet in first-person from the back of a speeder. If you want one of these free Cardboards, act fast. They are only available while supplies last and are likely to go quickly. Fingers crossed Google will have enough for more than just a lucky few.
