Just in time for the holidays, Best Buy has announced discounts on many popular Apple products. Customers can pick up an iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, 6 or 6 Plus for $100 off their normal prices; the price of the iPad Air 2 has been cut by $125 and the iPad Air and iPad mini 4 are available for $100 off.
Apple has set itself up nicely going into the holiday season. The company's much-hyped Apple Watch smartwatch, which was the first new product from the company under the leadership of CEO Tim Cook, have been a success, although the company won't reveal sales numbers. Cook explained the reason why you're not going to hear the company boast sales numbers via a press release, something it does annually for record-breaking iPhone sales, has to do with its competitors.
"This is competitive information. I don't want to help the competition. We shipped a lot [of Apple Watches] the first quarter ... then last quarter we shipped even more ... I can predict this quarter we will ship even more."
The Apple Watch was one of the most-advertised tech products during Black Friday and was even credited for strong sales across Apple, Target and Best Buy stores during the holiday weekend. Target officially issued a statement that sales of the smartwatch were very strong in its stores.
Apple's latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have also proven to be among the most popular purchased tech gifts, and if you're looking to purchase one for yourself or as a gift for a loved one, Best Buy is offering the new smartphones or previous generation iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and other devices for the same pricing it offered on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
The retailer has set up a special Apple promotion page with every Apple product it is offering during this sale. The retailer is offering the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus for $100 off the usual price, which means the iPhone 6s now starts at $99.99 for a 16 GB model when signing a new two-year contract, while the 6s Plus starts out at $199, and the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus start at $1 and $99.99 respectively.
Those interested in picking up Apple's latest 9.7-inch iPad can take $125 off the normal price, which means the 16 GB Wi-Fi iPad Air 2 is $374.99, compared with $499. The previous generation iPad Air is on sale for $100 off of its usual price.
Customers interested in picking up a 7.9-inch iPad mini 4 can also score a $100 savings on the tablet from Best Buy in all configurations. Best Buy is also offering $100 off all Apple Watch orders.
