Are you ready for more ultraviolence? After the unveiling of the red-band trailer for "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" by co-director Robert Rodriguez at San Diego Comic Con a few days ago, the trailer has made its way online.
Just as in the 2005 original film, "A Dame To Kill For" features several stories in the hard-boiled setting of Sin City.
The trailer showcases the same mix of violence, sex appeal and noir dialogue that was found in the original film. It also uses the same bold look of the previous film, with black and white footage occasionally enhanced by color.
The film includes original cast members Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jude Ciccolella, Powers Boothe, Jaime King and Mickey Rourke. Newcomers to the series include Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dennis Haysbert, Jamie Chung, Marton Csokas, Christopher Lloyd, Julia Garner, Juno Temple, Stacy Keach, Christopher Meloni, Ray Liotta, Lady Gaga, Jeremy Piven and Crystal McCahill.
The films are based on the graphic novels by Frank Miller, which began in 1991. Miller also wrote and co-directed the film. It features a mix of stories from the graphic novels and new material from Miller.
"Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" hits theaters August 22nd.
