Nintendo made waves when they revealed the latest character to join the roster of Hyrule Warriors Legends for Nintendo 3DS: Linkle, a female version of Link wielding two hand crossbows.
Fans aren't exactly united in how they feel about her. Why not just make Link a girl, instead of having to create a spin-off character? There is nothing that says Link can't be a girl, only that Nintendo doesn't seem willing to do it. Still, there is no denying Linkle packs a serious punch, as shown in this new trailer.
Her crossbows dish out some major pain, as she mows through enemies left and right. Her super ability involves her shooting a massive cannonball (from where exactly?) into a crowd of enemies, causing a huge explosion.
It's all completely over-the-top, in true Dynasty Warriors fashion. If you aren't familiar with Hyrule Warriors Legends, it's the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U, which itself is a Legend of Zelda spin-off done in the style of Koei Tecmo's seemingly never ending Dynasty Warriors series. In addition to Linkle, characters like Tetra and the King of Hyrule will also be joining the game's roster once the 3DS version arrives.
Hyrule Warriors Legends arrives on the 3DS on March 25th. You can check out the new trailer below.
