Rumors regarding Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7, continue to trickle in, with the latest involving the power of its chipset.
A source from China revealed the AnTuTu score of the Exynos 8890 processor that will be powering up the Galaxy S7. Saying that the score is a good one is an understatement, as it blows out of water all the scores of other chipsets.
The new Exynos chip, contained in a handset with no name and model number SM-G9300, scored 103,692. For reference, the newest chip by Huawei, the Kirin 950, scored 65,000 in the benchmark test.
While the information presented by the leak can not be confirmed entirely, the possibility that it is true would definitely further excite Samsung fans for the upcoming Galaxy S7, which is expected to be released with an earlier launch date of the first quarter of 2016. The reason for the earlier launch date is that Samsung thinks it can compete with its rivals in the smartphone industry business better by releasing its devices earlier.
Another recent rumor on the Galaxy S7 is that Samsung will be bringing back the microSD memory expansion slot to the smartphone. The removal of the feature from Samsung's latest Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy Note phablets was met with much criticism from the brand's supporters. If the rumor is true, fans will greatly appreciate the return of the feature for the Galaxy S7.
There is also a rumor that the Galaxy S7 will have a BRITECELL camera that Samsung claims would make the camera module for the smartphone slimmer by 17 percent, while also making improvements on the images taken within low-light conditions.
In addition, the Galaxy S7 could have a bigger display size compared to its predecessor as Samsung is looking to sell keyboard covers for the upcoming flagship smartphone. Other possible accessories for the Galaxy S7 include a glitter cover, an S view cover and a clear view cover.
