The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra which launched in Asia in August this year is finally set to make its way to consumers in the U.S.
However, the smartphone has not been officially released in the region by Sony Mobile but is instead being retailed online by Amazon.
At the time of its introduction, the Xperia C5 Ultra was priced at $420, but now the handset is available for a cheaper price - you save $100 now.
The Xperia C5 Ultra being retailed on Amazon is available in two hues - black and white. The smartphone supports US LTE, which means that it will be compatible U.S. network operators like AT&T and T-Mobile.
Interestingly, the Amazon seller retailing the unlocked 16GB model of the Xperia C5 Ultra is Sony itself. However, if you purchase the 6-inch phablet from Amazon, you will not get the U.S. warranty.
The Xperia C5 Ultra with its near bezel-less display is being retailed for $329.99 on Amazon and you also get free shipping. The model which one needs to buy is the E5506 and not the E5553 as the former supports US LTE and the latter does not.
To refresh your memory, the Xperia C5 Ultra sports a 6-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the phablet houses an octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor, which clock in at 1.7GHz. The device has 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded further to a maximum of 200GB via a microSD card.
While the Xperia C5 Ultra is not water proof like most Sony handsets, it is scratch resistant and the selfie phone packs in fantastic camera capabilities - both the cameras are 13MP. The device also has a 2390 mAh battery which supports up to 14 hours of talk time.
The smartphone comes pre-loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop and is in line to benefit from Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Head to Amazon to purchase the factory unlocked Xperia C5 Ultra in either black or white for $329.9.
