Motorola aficionados in India have a new device to look forward to. Come December, Motorola will be launching its second-gen Moto 360 smartwatch.
Lenovo-owned Motorola has sent out invites for the launch event which is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec.1.
The invitation from Motorola has an image of a circular dial, which is accompanied by the hashtag #MotoTimeHack, making it pretty apparent that the device the company is set to introduce in the Indian market is its Moto 360 second-gen smartwatch.
"Focus and Prioritize," reads the invite and details Hyatt Regency, Bhikaji Cama Place in New Delhi as the venue of the event. The press event is slated to kick off at noon.
The Moto 360 (2nd Gen) is the successor of the original Moto 360 smartwatch and was launched at the IFA 2015 in Berlin. The wearable is sleeker than its predecessor and comes in three variants: the Moto 360 Sport, a women's watch and a men's watch (in two sizes).
The Moto 360 second-gen smartwatch for men is available in the 42mm and 46mm models. The 42mm and 46mm models have a display of 1.37 inches (360 x 325 pixel resolution) and 1.56 inches (360 x 330 pixel resolution), respectively. The women's variant of the smartwatch is 42mm.
The 2015 Moto 360 smartwatch has the same circular dial as the previous iteration and users will be able to customize the wearable using the Moto Maker design studio.
The new model of the smartwatch is available in gold, metallic black and shiny chrome finishes. Beneath the clock face, the Moto 360 second gen houses a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 512MB of RAM. The device is fueled by a 300mAh battery and supports 4GB of on-board storage.
The Moto 360 2nd gen also offers support for Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, accelerometer and wireless charging.
The price of the smartwatch for men and women is anticipated to start from Rs. 20,000 ($299) and go up to Rs. 34,000 ($499).
