The shopping madness of Black Friday is almost here, and if you're one of the many who plan to venture into the shopping craziness, Google has some information that might be of interest to you.
The company recently published some infographics for retailers aimed at helping users make the most of Black Friday shopping. The data could also be used by someone simply wanting to go out to buy groceries, too.
An example of this is the fact that, according to Google, heading out between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. is the best time to avoid the massive crowds, while store traffic peaks between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. There is plenty more data to take a look at on the "Think with Google" website. For example, it has infographics about when traffic will be the highest and lowest for specific retailer types. As you might be able to see with the graphic below, the traffic patterns seem to be largely the same for most retailer types, although in the early hours of the morning you might find some success buying a phone.
Google was also able to compile information about what kinds of retailers are most visited during Black Friday, Christmas Eve and the last Saturday before Christmas, showing that you might find the most success if you go for stores that aren't as visited during these days.
You can check out the data for yourself at the 'Think with Google' website.
