The Huawei Watch is now available in the United States in a new rose gold color that adds a touch of luxury to the company's smartwatch.
Huawei announced its smartwatch at the Mobile World Congress in March 2015. However, it took a few months for the Huawei Watch to hit the shelves in September. Initially, the Huawei Watch was made available in four finishes: Stainless Steel with Black Leather Strap, Stainless Steel with Stainless Steel Mesh Band, Stainless Steel with Stainless Steel Link Band and Black Stainless Steel with Black Stainless Steel Link Band.
Now, the company has released a new finish called Rose Gold Stainless Steel to attract more customers. The Rose Gold Huawei Watch comes with a 22K rose gold plating and a brown alligator pressed fine leather strap. The price tag of this version is $699 and is available to purchase from the company's website.
"Looking to upgrade your look with the most stylish smartwatch? Huawei is proud to announce that the world's first Android Wear watch with sapphire crystal and real gold is now available for purchase," per Huawei.
The Rose Gold Huawei Watch sports a 1.4-inch full circle AMOLED display with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels and 286 ppi. A 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor powers the smartwatch. The latest Huawei offering has 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. The watch weighs 61.5 grams, or around 2.17 ounces.
The watch has a 300 mAh battery that offers up to two days of usage. The Huawei Watch is also compatible with Android smartphones running on Android 4.3 or above and iOS devices running on iOS 8.2 or higher.
Huawei has also listed a new finish for the smartwatch called Rose Gold Plated Stainless Steel with Rose Gold Plated Stainless Steel Link Band. This variant of the Huawei Watch will bear a price tag of $799, but it is still to be released by the company.
The Rose Gold version of the watch is available only in limited quantities, which means interested customers may have to rush before it is sold out.
