'Rainbow Six Siege' Open Beta Progress Will Not Carry Over To Full Game

Rainbow Six Siege is getting an open beta starting on Nov. 25, and now, we have a few more details about what all players will be able to try out.

The beta will feature three maps in the form of Kanal Industrial Harbor, Hereford and House, along with 14 playable operators and a new Terrorist Hunt mode. Though the beta begins on Nov. 25 and ends on Nov. 29, players who participated in the closed beta will have 24-hour early access to the open beta starting on Nov. 24. Pre-loading of the beta will begin on Nov. 23.

Ubisoft says the open beta will primarily be a means of testing the game's online stability.

"We are grateful and humbled to be this close to the launch of the game, and we can't wait to have you all playing during the Open Beta for one last stability check," Ubisoft says on the official Rainbow Six Siege website. "You'll get to test out some of the recent improvements we made, including a much stronger matchmaking experience."

Though the closed beta ends a mere two days before the full release of the game, Ubisoft says player progression, stats and unlockables will not carry over to the full version of Rainbow Six Siege when it releases on Dec. 1 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
