Starting Friday, Nov. 20th, Amazon will be hosting holiday deals for eight days, culminating on Black Friday. They've not revealed everything that will be discounted, but a press release from the online retailer lists a number of upcoming deals ranging from "decent" to "great" that will appear at unspecified times during the event.
According to Amazon, thousands of different Lightning Deals will appear each of the eight days, with 10 specific Deals of the Day landing on Thanksgiving at midnight and 10 more for Black Friday. New deals are supposed to show up "as often as every five minutes" — which is both vague and specific at the same time. Of the stuff they've revealed will be making an appearance at some point during this sale, there's a good amount of video game-related goods:
- $20 off Need for Speed
- $25 off Metal Gear Solid V
- $30 off Rock Band 4 Wireless Guitar Bundle
- $50 off Xbox One consoles
- $50 off PlayStation 4 Uncharted Bundle
Of those, $50 off an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 Uncharted Bundle are far and away the best deals. Everything else will possibly go down in price even further, given enough time, but console prices can be fickle. The rest of those are a bit underwhelming. Granted, it's not the full lineup of deals, and there will almost certainly be better deals that crop up over the eight days.
In addition to the more traditional video game deals, there's a couple noted on their Fire line of devices — which also play games:
- Amazon Fire for $34.99
- $25 off Amazon Fire TV
- $15 off Amazon Fire TV Stick and Amazon Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote
Anyone looking to score cheap games and consoles can follow along on the specific Black Friday landing page at Amazon. There's also going to be a whole mess of other deals on stuff like movies, comics and general electronics.
