NBC's streaming site Seeso will finally be available in December for users to view everything from golden comedy gems to original content all for free—for a beta trial, that is. The television network announced on Nov. 13 that the service will launch its test run on Dec. 3.
The online-only beta site/app will include access to NBC fan favorites like Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, The Office (both the U.S. and U.K. versions, naturally), and Saved by the Bell, as well as movie classics like Monty Python's Life of Brian and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. And, of course, NBC's long-running sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live will have over 40 years' worth of episodes for users to peruse.
The late-night comedy talk show set will also be incorporated into Seeso's television line-up, with past episodes from Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Seeso will also feature an original exclusive show, the upcoming UCB Show, the brainchild of the New York City- and Los Angeles-based comedy troupe the Upright Citizens Brigade, which will include original and founding members Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh, Ian Roberts, and Matt Besser.
The $4 per month subscription service will officially launch in January, a month after the preview. Those who want to try the beta service have to be on the ball when it drops: Seeso will only offer a limited number of registration slots to potential users.
