Anonymous Declares Total War Against ISIS Following Paris Attack

Hacktivist group Anonymous has declared war against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) following the deplorable Paris attacks on Friday, Nov. 13, which has killed more than 130 people.

Anonymous posted a video (in French) on YouTube declaring war against ISIS. The video message contains a signature Anonymous mask man saying that the group will use its knowledge in war against ISIS. The video has been watched on YouTube almost one million times.

"Anonymous from all over the world will hunt you down. You should know that we will find you and we will not let you go. We will launch the biggest operation ever against you," per the English translation of the video done by the Mirror. "Expect massive cyber attacks. War is declared. Get prepared. The French people are stronger than you and will come out of this atrocity even stronger."

Even though Anonymous has declared war against ISIS now, the group's work against ISIS started following the Charlie Hebdo attacks in January this year.

Throughout this year, Anonymous' campaign "Operation Paris" has tracked and hacked thousands of Twitter accounts, which were believed to be run by IS member or their associates.

"To date, hacktivists claim to have dismantled some 149 Islamic State-linked websites and flagged roughly 101,000 Twitter accounts and 5,900 propaganda videos," reports Foreign Policy.

ISIS has taken responsibility of the Friday terrorist attacks in Paris. The attack has killed more than 130 people and more than 400 people have been injured.

ISIS terrorists targeted seven locations in Paris, which included cafes and restaurants where people were enjoying a Friday night out and Stade de France where France was playing a friendly football game against Germany. A gunman started firing at the crowd in the Bataclan concert hall killing 89 people.

Seven terrorists were also killed. The French police are on the lookout for any links associated with the latest Paris attacks.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls says that the Friday attacks were organized from Syria. Valls also added that more terror attacks are being planned not only against France but other European countries as well.
