Following the Paris attacks this weekend, actor Rob Lowe took to Twitter to express his views.
After the terrorist attacks that took the lives of over 100 people, Lowe put up a series of posts about the French immigration policy, causing the floodgates of the Twitter-verse to open.
"Vive La France! #Paris," Lowe posted, commencing his exposition.

A barrage of replies then served to slowly fan the flame. "Unbelievable cruel and uncalled for remark," said Paul Modibe in response to Lowe's tweet.

"Vive La France is a statement of freedom and liberty. Shame on you all for your negative remarks. Long live France," replied Daniel Malaure.

Then things took a turn for the worse. "Oh, NOW France closes its borders. #Hollande," his next tweet said.

Lowe then made headlines for the above tweet in the aftermath of the tragedy that struck the French capital.
"Rob Lowe, the thespian's equivalent to an overexcited Golden retriever, has taken this tragic moment in French history to comment on the country's immigration policy," a report said of the 51-year-old actor.
"You are making the world worse. Go away," replied Scott Butterworth to Lowe.

"Don't be insensitive Rob," remarked Mattie Quinn.

"Your career has been on a consistent slide since the West Wing, and it's because you're an atrocious human being," tweeted Ryan Cooper.

Lowe, increasingly aware of the backlash he was receiving, responded by saying he "lived in France and spent a ton of time there." That being the case, he clarified that this was "all so devastatingly sad" for the place that he loved. Here's how Twitter responded:
@RobLowe Oh NOW you feel compassion — Paiement Natalie (@NataliePaiement) November 14, 2015
@RobLowe glad you can find a way to make it about you.

@roblowe if this was genuine, you would've tweeted it 3 hours ago. but okay man nice try! — turkey gobbler (@LBennets) November 14, 2015

Having noticed yet again how people on Twitter were "misinterpreting" his words, Lowe elucidated the Twitter verse with what he really meant.
"Wow. For you trolls out there, the phrase "Vive La France" is the traditional expression of SUPPORT for France. Don't misinterpret my words," the actor said.
Since the above tweet, the "Grinder" actor has kept mostly to himself regarding the issue.
