Atari Delays ‘RollerCoaster Tycoon World’ To Early 2016 After First Beta

The first RollerCoaster Tycoon World beta has come to an end, but Atari and developer Nvizzio bumped back its original Dec. 10 release date on the PC to early 2016.

This isn't the first time that the title has been put off until a later date, though, as it was pushed back before when the graphics weren't exactly up to par with players' expectations. On the developer's defense, the game was still incomplete then, so the visual improvements haven't arrived yet at the time.

Now, the RollerCoaster Tycoon World has been postponed again to integrate a slew of new features, including the ability to use predefined lines and curves, a better test mode for more feedback, an improved fence tool and an enhanced grid system.

"Our highest priority has always been to release a game that we're proud of, one that lives up to the lofty standards set by the previous titles. With this new timing we will be able to do just that - deliver a robust tycoon experience along with additional layers of polishing and tweaks that the extra time affords us," Atari and Nvizzio says on a blog post.

Aside from the four "key items" that the developer is working on, it will also focus on implementing features based on user feedback, such as an improved path placement.

As a result of the recent developments, a second beta is set to launch in December. Atari and Nvizzio are concentrating on the coaster builder and the four features as well as tweaks and improvements here and there, and they are also encouraging players to get in on the game and send feedback to make the game as best as it can be. Of course, you still need to preorder the game to participate.

With the upcoming numerous features backed by the developer's dedication to craft the RollerCoaster Tycoon World to perfection, it's only natural to assume that we'll be getting a pretty sweet, although delayed, game.
