Jaguar Land Rover is going to showcase the Range Rover Evoque Convertible, Jaguar XE and Jaguar F-PACE at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
First off, the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be the latest addition to the Range Rover Evoque lineup, and it has been making rounds on the Internet before, appearing as a two-door convertible. The vehicle's concept premiered at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
"When the Range Rover Evoque Convertible was first shown as a concept, the response was overwhelmingly positive. It was the next logical step to bring the pioneering concept to reality and with a clear design strategy we have safeguarded the distinctive character of the Range Rover Evoque," Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director and chief creative officer, comments in a press release.
Under its hood, the convertible sports Jaguar Land Rover's new 2.0-liter Ingenium turbocharged four-pot with 240 horsepower and 251 pound-feet. It's also fitted with a ZF nine-speed automatic transmission.
Next up, the 2017 Jaguar XE was launched globally this year, and it will land on North American shores — showrooms, to be exact — in spring 2016. Ian Callum, design director of Jaguar, will unveil the vehicle with U.S. specifications at the event. The vehicle will be touted as a 2017 model with new features.
The sedan will be placed on an aluminum-intensive platform, and it will be available in three different engines. The base model comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower. The next model takes it up a notch with a 2.0-liter gas turbo four-cylinder with 240 horsepower. The top model boasts a 3.0-liter Ingenium supercharged AJ-V6 with 340 horsepower.
Lastly, the 2017 Jaguar F-PACE is Jaguar's first SUV, which made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It will arrive sometime next year, and Callum will also showcase the vehicle at the event.
The SUV also has Jaguar's 3.0-liter Ingenium supercharged AJ-V6, which comes at 340 horsepower or 380 horsepower. Also, the V6 variants will be available with the same engine as the Jaguar XE's base model.
By mid-2016, the 2017 Range Rover Evoque Convertible will be available at $50,475, and by the second quarter of 2016, the 2017 Jaguar XE will be available at $34,900. The 2017 Jaguar F-PACE with the 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine will come with a $40,990 price tag.
The 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show will be held in the South Hall at the LA Convention Center near the Staples Center on Nov. 18, Wednesday. Jaguar Land Rover's presentation is scheduled between 11:35 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., followed by Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and many others.
