Footage description of 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' promises internal conflict

Fans are eager for news on next summer's "Avengers: Age of Ultron," and thanks to a special screening of footage from the film we now have a slightly better idea of what to expect from the blockbuster.

If you want to avoid spoilers, best turn away now. Still here? Good. During a special preview and Q&A for "Guardians of the Galaxy" in London, Marvel studios president and producer Kevin Feige surprised the crowd in attendance with debut footage from Joss Whedon's "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The most exciting part of the footage? The Hulkbuster armor, designed by Tony Stark to fight the green rage monster.

Radiotimes was on hand to witness the footage and wrote up some descriptions of the scenes shown. The site says the suit follows a similar color scheme like that of the original Iron Man armor, sporting red and gold plates, but "where his normal suit is sleek as a missile, this is bruising like a tank," almost as large as the Hulk himself. Radiotimes goes on to say that the footage was very unfinished, saying concept art of the battle that hit the next months ago and can be seen above actually looks better. Why are the Hulk and Iron Man fighting? Who knows, but Joss Whedon has said multiple times "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will have a darker tone than its predecessor.

In addition to the Hulkbuster armor, Radiotimes also describes the iconic Avengers Tower, which will evidently be making its way to the silver screen from the comics. The site reports that Stark will build Avengers Tower out of the ruins of his New York penthouse after the events of the first film. Inside the Avengers will have plenty of parking for supersonic jets and twin laboratories for Stark and Bruce Banner. The site describes the construction of the tower overall to that of a SHIELD Helicarrier.

Set photos from earlier this year showed Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch fighting alongside Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and sure enough Radiotimes describes a scene in which the duo battle side by side in the ruined streets of an Italian city. Also shown were scenes of Scarlet Witch and her brother Quicksilver, played by Aaron-Taylor Johnson, locked in "fancy Perspex prison cells."

The world may not have to wait too much longer for new information about the hotly anticipated sequel. It's possible Marvel will screen footage of the film at its upcoming panel at Comic-Con at the end of next week.
