Leave it to The Architect to build his way back to the top of World Wrestling Entertainment.
After being at the top of the pro-wrestling world, Seth Rollins was forced to vacate his World Heavyweight championship last week, when he tore his right ACL, MCL and medial meniscus during a live WWE event in Dublin, Ireland.
Expected to miss six to nine months of action doesn't have Rollins feeling defeated, though. He took to his Instagram account Sunday to vow to the WWE Universe that he will "redesign," "rebuild" and "reclaim." The latter sentiment of course goes toward reclaiming the World Heavyweight strap, which will immediately be put up for grabs via a tournament at Survivor Series on November 22.
Rollins was supposed to defend his title against Roman Reigns at the pay-per-view event, but his injury wiped out the chance of that happening.
Ironically, though, Dave Meltzer noted on Sunday's Wrestling Observer radio program that Rollins would have dropped the World Heavyweight strap to Reigns at Survivor Series, anyway.
Since that information is out, it will be interesting to see whether it changes the storylines of Reigns becoming champion in a few weeks or the WWE sticks to that projection and crowns him as its next champ.
Or would the WWE consider putting the strap on Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, or Sheamus? In hindsight, bringing Alberto Del Rio back at Survivor Series instead of Hell in a Cell would have been ideal, but it's too late for that.
While Rollins was gaining heavy momentum with each title defense, perhaps the only way to salvage some of that energy is to re-crown Daniel Bryan as World Heavyweight champion. Let the predictions begin.
