Many users have become annoyed with the blue dot notification that shows up when Twitter has a new moment. Due to this, the micro-social network has confirmed that the blue dot notification will appear to users less frequently.
Back in early October, Twitter released a new feature called Moments, where users would be able to find the best Tweets just by clicking on an icon. It doesn't matter who the user is following, Moments will work regardless. The feature keeps updating as recent stories appear, and users can cycle through various topics such as Sports and Entertainment overall.
Initially, the feature was rolled out to users in the United States via app updates for Android and iOS, and Twitter on the desktop. Windows Phone users were the only ones left in the dust, as usual.
Soon after the rollout, users began to complain about the Moments tab continuously displaying a blue dot. The blue dot is for the unread tweets, and it shows up each time Moments is refreshed. Thankfully, the company has addressed the situation and as such, things should be a lot better.
Twitter users took this opportunity to complain about another dreaded feature. Apart from the Moments issue, some fans have been complaining about the new "heart" icon Twitter has added. When a user wants to like someone's tweet, they will be required to click the heart icon, and this has become too much for some.
One user says Twitter should bring back the favorites button because he's not going to tap on a heart when he needs to like "another man's tweet." Another user blasted Twitter to get rid of the "tacky" heart icon.
What the following user had to say made us laugh:
In all honesty, the heart icon looks out of place, while the previous star icon looked a lot better.
