Second Trailer For Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' Goes Loud

Director Quentin Tarantino is known for his signature style, and the latest trailer for his western, The Hateful Eight, has it in spades.

If you don't know the basics, here is the setup for the film: eight roguish characters find themselves searching for shelter during a blizzard. Soon, they all find themselves sharing a cabin together, and tensions run high before they are drawn into a plot filled with deception, betrayal and bloodshed.

The film has quite the all-star cast behind it. Longtime Tarantino collaborator Samuel L. Jackson plays one of the bounty hunters, as does Kurt Russell. The rest of the cast is rounded out by Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth, Walton Goggins and Michael Madsen.

Westerns are few and far between these days. Where at one time, they were as common as superhero films are today, the western slowly but surely died out. It should be interesting to see Tarantino's unique spin on the genre. The director recently found himself in hot water after police groups vowed to boycott the film after Tarantino spoke out during an anti-police brutality protest in New York City.

Those who want to view the film in 70 mm can see it as early as Dec. 25. For everybody else, Tarantino's latest will hit theaters Jan. 8. You can watch the full trailer below.
