First Official Trailer For Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight' Released

There's been a lot of chatter surrounding The Hateful Eight, Quentin Tarantino's highly-anticipated upcoming western. Now we finally get to see what all the fuss is about.

The first official teaser trailer for The Hateful Eight was released Wednesday, and it looks like it's got just about everything you would expect from a Tarantino flick. There's Samuel L. Jackson as the wise-cracking Major Marquis Warren, bounty hunting and plenty of eccentric characters to keep you entertained for the duration of the film.

The road to the release of this teaser trailer hasn't been without a few bumps along the way. Tarantino almost scrapped the project after someone leaked the script in January 2014. A teaser trailer for the film was also leaked online and then promptly removed in April of this year.

But The Hateful Eight will finally see the light of day when it is released in select theaters on Christmas Day and everywhere on Jan. 8, 2016. When it does, it will tell the story of bounty hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell), a.k.a. The Hangman, who is trying to deliver his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to the town of Red Rock in the middle of a blizzard. Along the way, they meet a bunch of strangers, six to be exact, including Jackson's Major Marquis Warren. The film follows this octet's journey to Red Rock, which, as you'll see in the teaser trailer, won't be a smooth one.

All in all, it looks like The Hateful Eight will be a violent, vengeful and wintry thrill ride that you may just feel the opposite of hate about. Check out the full teaser trailer below, and see for yourself.
