Australia's Mobile Service Reseller Amaysim Tweaks Unlimited Plan Structure

In the company's effort to provide its customers amazingly simple mobile plans and to entice more people to try out its services, Amaysim, deemed as the largest mobile services reseller in Australia made a few tweaks into its unlimited mobile plans. The new offerings, which the company calls 'One Decision' Unlimited Mobile Plans, bring lots of data, stripped-down expense and no lock-in contract.

The top tier plan of the company is offering an increased from 7 GB to 8 GB, which is now priced $49.90.

This mobile plan comes equipped with standard national unlimited talk and text. This likewise includes 300 standard minutes of international calls and unlimited standard international SMS and MMS to specific countries.

Additionally, Amaysim has also clipped $5 off the price of its 5 GB plan, which customers can avail at $39.90. Those who prefer to avail of the extra 300 minutes of international calls (those who probably have not yet discovered the perks of communicating inexpensively with people overseas via messaging apps, such as Skype or Facebook Messenger) may opt to fork $44.90 out of their pockets.

Other plans the company is offering include 2 GB and 1 GB mobile plans. These also consist of unlimited standard national talk and text.

"We're more focused than ever on ensuring all of our UNLIMITED mobile plans offer excellent value for customers old and new, while delivering on our commitment to be Australia's 'no worries' telco," boasts Julian Ogrin, Amaysim's boss. "We know Aussies want simplicity and certainty from their day-to-day expenses, which is why we've moved to our 'one decision' mobile plan model – now the only decision Australians have to make is how much data they want each month."

It seems that this latest move is Amaysim's response to the growing competition with the local mobile virtual network operators (MVNO), including the Kogan Mobile (which teamed up with Vodafone Hutchinson Australia) and TPG Telecom. Strong rivals Coles and Woolworths are also establishing their low-cost mobile services.

Amaysim earlier claimed it is focusing its attention on beefing up its existing strengths in the market.

Part of the company's goal, which Ogrin believes "we can achieve," is signing up one million subscribers by the middle of 2019.
