Samsung has a new sweet deal for 2015 Galaxy users, as the South Korean tech firm is offering a free wireless charger to customers everywhere who use Samsung Pay on their sixth-gen handsets.
Upon activating Samsung's payment app on a Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus or Note 5 between Oct. 28 and Nov. 8, users will be eligible to receive an OEM wireless charger.
To partake in this deal, users will only have to do a few steps. First off, register credit card information on the app and submit the corresponding email address on Samsung's promo page. After going through all the instructions, everything will be set. The wireless charger is expected to arrive after eight to 10 weeks.
Take note, however, that there are requirements to participate. The user must live in the United States and should be at least 18 years old. Also, this isn't the first time that Samsung offered a similar promo, so users who already struck up a comparable deal with Verizon can no longer join in.
Samsung Pay's reach is steadily growing, especially in South Korea where it reached up to 1 million users its home country.
"After one month, the numbers say it all: Consumers who have used Samsung Pay are using it repeatedly because it works almost anywhere you can swipe or tap a card," Thomas Ko, Vive president and global co-general manager of Samsung Pay, says.
But because of competing apps such as Apple Pay, Android Pay and, soon, Chase Pay in the United States, Samsung might not reach the same figures that easily.
Samsung will only send out the wireless charger to the first 200,000 individuals who sign up and meet the requirements, and the promo will only last from Oct. 28 to Nov. 8, so you'd better hurry if you want to get your hands on a shiny new wireless charger.
