Watch J.J. Abrams Answer A 'Star Wars 7' Question From George Lucas Himself

J.J. Abrams has an incredibly tough job. No, not directing Star Wars: The Force Awakens (though that is definitely an unenviable task). The real challenge in his job is having to keep silent about the film's biggest secrets. Everybody wants to know the plot for Star Wars 7, yet it's one of the most closely guarded secrets in movie history, so much, in fact, that even Star Wars creator George Lucas can't get a straight answer.

Vanity Fair recently released a video showing J.J. Abrams fielding questions recorded by various celebrities. From actors to reporters, directors to friends, they all had a different bone to pick with Abrams.

But it is Lucas's question that fans really want to know the answer to: what happened to Darth Vader's grandchildren?

Of course, Abrams isn't going to answer that question. But his response is at least entertaining.

"Oh, George," Abrams says. "This is great. You tell me, man. You made all this shit up."

Classic J.J. Abrams. Rumor has it Daisy Ridley's character of Rey may be a descendant of Anakin Skywalker, but that's all speculation at this point. We aren't getting any more trailers for the film, so we'll just have to wait for when the movie releases on Dec. 17 to find out the truth.

Outside of George Lucas, the video is filled with a number of other surprise appearances. Actor Jared Leto, who will be portraying the Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad film, looks pretty peeved that he didn't get the chance to play Chewbacca. T.J. Miller, who made his film debut in Cloverfield, asks Abrams what is going on with that franchise. And Katie Couric appears to ask the most important question of all: when Star Wars: The Force Awakens releases on Dec. 17, what will Abrams be doing?

According to J.J., he'll be passed out. Sounds about right.
