Produced by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, "Game of Thrones" is an HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. It is set in the fictional land of Westeros and Essos where powerful families battle for the iron throne, whether by reclaiming it as in the case of Daenerys Targaryen, usurping it as how Robert Baratheon took the throne from the Targaryens, or murdering people, as how Queen Cersei devised to give Joffrey the throne. However, winter is coming and there are more terrors that await the characters as the White Walkers make their way to the wall.

The series already has five seasons under its belt and the sixth season is set to air on HBO in early 2016.
