The game has a small hidden code that was discovered by Lord Zedd, a YouTube subscriber. With the use of thumbsticks, he pressed them both while the screen is loading on December 25. To his amazement, a new screen zooms out showing a different view of the Halo ring. Probing the screen further, he sees a scrolling print on the ring with words that greet Lauren with a happy birthday.
The message struck Zedd not only because Lauren's birthday is the most popular date for birthday but also because she is said to be married to Adrian Perez, a former Bungie game developer. It should be remembered that in Bungie Mail Sack 13, Perez declared that his greatest Bungie achievement so far is when he was able to show his wife the Easter egg which he has hidden in the loading screen of "Halo 3." The egg is the same Easter egg that everybody's been scrambling to discover.
Apparently, Perez had successfully hidden the Easter egg for seven egg hunting years until Zedd came along and unveiled the mystery. It's probably the longest Easter egg hunt that's been recorded on Earth.
The Bungie Mail Sack hails from Bungie.net and features a weekly schedule of Bungie question and answer. Members of the Bungie Community are privileged to ask Bungie employees with any questions. The questions are usually answered through a news article shown on the site's front page. The Easter egg has been known to have two references from the Bungie Mail Sack's sessions of Q&A. Whether Zedd is a Bungie Community member or a plain "Halo 3" fan is still not clear.
This last Easter egg from "Halo 3" appears on "December 25." To find it, you would need two thumbsticks and some good reflex muscles on your thumb. When the screen is loading, make sure that it's loading on December 25. You will see a bigger view of the Halo ring. Watch out for words to come out on the screen that should appear on the ring's surface and should read as "Happy Birthday Lauren."
"Halo 3" is a first-person shooter video game from the Halo trilogy. Events in the game are absolutely fictional with the settings placed in the Halo universe. The game is developed by Bungie Studios with Microsoft as the publisher. When the game was released, it had gross earnings of $300 million during the first week alone.
