As Motorola noted, today's event was about Droids, plural. And while the Turbo 2 was the centerpiece of the show, the company also gave the Maxx 2 a little time to shine. The big news here is big battery life—offering up the same impressive 48 hours of life on a single charge as the new Turbo.
The handset also fills up quickly, giving users around 8 hours of power on a single 15-minute charge.
The Maxx features a 5.5-inch HD display, a microSD slot for added memory and, like the Turbo 2, a 21-megapixel camera on the rear. No Moto Maker here, but users can help themselves to interchangeable backs and a new flipcase shell.
The new Maxx starts at $16 a month when purchased with a Verizon plan.
