I tried Blue Microphones' Mo-Fi headphones out a while back. They're big, beautiful, and a lot more terrific sounding than I was honestly expecting from a company best know for its USB podcasting mics.
The emphasis there is on big. They're really quite massive. I felt a bit like I was trying on a pair of those giant old headphones they used to keep in the audiovisual room of the library. It was kind of nice, actually. It really added to the visceral feeling of being cocooned in the music.
Of course, such experiences are not really conducive to the active lifestyles of this model:
Nor for your own, no doubt.
The company's newest addition to the space maintains the Mo-Fi's 50mm drivers and enclosure, adapting them to a smaller, lighter, and generally more portable form factor. The headphones ditcht he built in amp, but still promise, "tight and powerful low end, articulate and warm mids, and accurate extended high frequency response" according to the company's press material.
We'll happily let you know our verdict on those claims after we get some hands/ears-on time with the things. You'll be able to spend your own quality time with Lola when it hits retail for $250.
Meantime, I assume we're all on the same space about which song we'll be listening to first.
