'Heroes Of The Storm' Celebrates Halloween With 'Hallow's End' Event

It's almost the end of October, and that means game developers are looking to add a little Halloween flair to their games for players to enjoy. Blizzard is no different, and it has just announced its Halloween event plans for their free-to-play MOBA Heroes of the Storm.

Starting Oct. 27 and going until Nov. 3, all players will be receiving a 50 percent XP boost at the end of every match, while playing 25 matches from Oct. 22 to Nov. 17 will reward players with an exclusive new "Jack O Lantern" portrait.

New skins, mounts and bundles are also making their way to the Nexus, and players of Blizzard's World of Warcraft may recognize one of them. The Headless Horseman's Charger will be racing into the game's store, as will the pirate-themed Buccaneer Falstad skin. The Headless Horseman has appeared for several year's now as part of WoW's own Hallow's End event. Upon defeating him in the game, the Headless Horseman has a chance to drop his mount as an item, allowing players to ride around Azeroth in stlye. It's not exactly common for the mount to drop, so if you never got the chance to ride around on it in WoW, you can always snag it in Heroes of the Storm for a few bucks.

A number of the Halloween-themed skins for various characters will be bundled together as well. Players can pick up Falstad's new skin, the Headless Horseman's Charger and Falstad himself for $21.35. Alternatively, players can pick up the Hallow's End Ultimate Bundle that includes everything in the previous bundle, plus the heroes Karrigan and Abathur, along with a spooky skin for each. You can check out some of the new content in the showcase video below.

More than a few multiplayer games will be announcing their Halloween events in the days to come. League of Legends, Team Fortress 2, World of Warcraft, Fallout Shelter and many others will all be celebrating. With so many special events to check out, who has time to go trick or treating?
