An iPhone 7 features wish list may sound too early as it has just been around a month that the new-gen iPhone 6s hit the shelves. However, here is a list of some features that would be amazing to find in the next-generation iPhone.
Wireless Charging
Traditionally, most of the phones are charged with a cable. However, wireless charging of smartphones is not new in the industry but not many handsets are capable of wirelessly charging themselves. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ can be charged without wires and Apple will not want to stay behind its rivals, which may make Apple to produce iPhone 7 that can be wirelessly charged.
Replaceable Battery
Apple has never used a replaceable battery in their smartphones. Customers are expecting Apple to launch an iPhone with replaceable battery for many years but till now they have been disappointed. A replaceable battery will not only increase the replacement cycle of iPhones but it will also allow customers to carry a spare battery. It is unlikely that the iPhone 7 will come with a replaceable battery but the feature will please many iPhone enthusiasts.
32GB Model and microSD Card Slot
The iPhones are available in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB versions. The storage capacity of the base model is too small for many users while the 64GB version spikes the price of the handset. Customers will hope that the iPhone 7 is available in a 32GB model, which will please many iPhone customers.
Apple has never introduced a microSD card slot in its iPhones, iPads or iPods. The presence of a microSD card slot has been long expected by iPhone owners and customers will hope that the iPhone 7 comes with one to expand the memory of their smartphone.
Home Button
The home button on the iPhones take a lot of space at the bottom of the handset and it does not have a lot of functionality. Many customers have wanted that the home button is integrated within the handset's display. It remains to be seen if the iPhone of 2016 has the home button or not.
Waterproofing
Waterproofing the iPhones may be helpful to many customers, who are worried about those occasional spills and splashes. A previous report highlights that Apple iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus are waterproof but the company has not confirmed the feature. Many Android devices are water-resistant and iDevice lovers will hope that the upcoming iPhone 7 is also waterproof.
Sapphire Glass Screen
Apple has used sapphire glass to protect the cameras on its iPhones. Sapphire glass is much more scratch-resistant in comparison to the existing Gorilla Glass used on current generation iPhones. It may not be long that Apple uses a sapphire glass screen to guard its future iPhones, so why not the iPhone 7?
More RAM
The iPhone 6 had 1GB of RAM while the new iPhone 6s is packed with 2GB of RAM. Even though Apple has increased the RAM in the new iPhones, most of the flagship smartphones from other companies contain 3GB or 4GB of RAM. Customers will hope that Apple bumps up the RAM in the iPhone 7 for even better performance.
