Watch Hulk Hogan Serenade An Infant In This Japanese Air Conditioner Commercial From The Early '90s

For better or worse, there’s no shortage of global TV commercials featuring Western celebrities. Before the days of widespread Internet access, a rather random selection of stars appeared in these weird, not-so-wonderful ads.

No doubt, the likes of Harrison Ford and Andy Warhol were compensated well for their efforts, safe in the assumption that fans back home would be blissfully unaware of the product-pushing atrocities. Or at least never find themselves with an opportunity to actually watch them.

Oh, how wrong they were.

Celebrities galore still churn out such commercials, with the more notable abominations usually made in Japan. Dozens have been leaked online for your viewing displeasure, but precious few come close to the horror that is Hulk Hogan pushing sales of (wait for it) an air-conditioning unit.

As if the set-up wasn't bizarre enough, the resulting commercial beggars belief. It sees the Hulkster — clad in white shorts and a bandanna — sing a graceless lullaby to a cackling toddler. All while, the AC unit ensures the wrestling legend's tender embrace is kept temperate.

Hogan's gruesome gargling is somehow less agonizing than the accompanying music. Together, they form the soundtrack to your worst, most soul-shattering nightmare.

Should you manage to endure the ad's full 30 seconds, reward thyself with a hefty helping of your liquor cabinet’s most fearsome beverage.

It'll be the very least you deserve ...
