The upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is said to evoke a similar feeling to that of the original film trilogy, and that's not the only place you'll find it. The new trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront taps into that nostalgia as well while also making your lifelong fantasies come true.
This Star Wars: Battlefront trailer isn't what you would expect from the upcoming game. For one thing, there's very little gameplay featured in the clip, and along those lines, it's a live-action trailer, which is intended to make everything you see in the clip feel familiar.
And that's likely to work. The trailer shows a man at his desk during a dull moment at work reminiscing about his life as it revolved around Star Wars — lightsaber battles with flashlights, dressing up as Yoda for Halloween, tricking out his bike as an X-Wing — instances that you'll probably recognize as well.
Then the trailer changes from reality to fantasy by making every fanboy's dream come true. The clip shows the man hopping in to a real-live X-Wing — well, real in the commercial anyway — and soaring through the Hoth skies as if he was in combat in the game. There may not be an actual feature in Star Wars: Battlefront that transports you directly into the game, but this trailer will keep your hope alive at least.
Star Wars: Battlefront is available for preorder now and will be officially released November 17. Check out the full trailer for the game below.
