Verizon and T-Mobile customers will now be able to snag the new Samsung Gear S2 as the wearable was announced to be offered at both carriers.
Starting today, Verizon will be accepting preorders for the wearable in several pricing options to choose from. These include the $299.99 option which comes with a signed two-year contract; the $349.99 option which comes as an off-contract offer; and the $5 option that is added every month to the subscriber's Verizon plan. This means that subscribers will be able to use the Gear S2 to enjoy a monthly service of talk, text and data that comes with their plan.
In the meantime, T-Mobile customers can start signing up in order to get more information on the Gear S2. The carrier is retailing the wearable at $359.99 as a full retail price. Another option is to pay for the Gear S2 at $15 a month which shall go on for 23 months with the 24th or final month being slightly cheaper at $14.99. Similar to Verizon, T-Mobile is also offering a $5 monthly charge as an added fee to customers who are under an existing plan.
"For just $5/month, T-Mobile customers can call, tweet and email on-the-go with unlimited talk, text and data - all directly from your wrist - while on our network (up to 500MB of high-speed data)," stated T-Mobile.
Announced on Aug. 31, the Samsung Gear S2 is compatible with devices that run on Android 4.4 and later. In order to get the best results, customers are advised to connect the wearable with compatible Samsung Galaxy Devices. However, the wearable can also be paired with other Android phones which include those that were made by Asus, HTC, Huawei, Kyocera, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, Nexus, Nubia, OPPO, Pantech, Sharp, Sony, Vivo, Xiaomi and ZTE.
Both Verizon and T-Mobile are offering the Samsung Gear S2 in Dark Gray and Silver options.
"A better network matters when it comes to your Gear S2," said Verizon. "Having a reliable network helps make sure you'll receive those texts and calls. Don't miss notifications or that important e-mail."
Verizon customers can start purchasing the Gear S2 online and in stores starting on Nov. 6. On the other hand, T-Mobile customers can snag the device beginning on Nov. 15.
