Disney Pixar animated film Inside Out already took Riley on a whirlwind of emotions as Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Fear and Anger struggled to stabilize her emotions in an effort to come to terms with her new situation in San Francisco. But, it turns out, there was something else in store for Riley that didn't make it to the final film: Take Your Daughter to Work Day.
Take Your Daughter to Work Day is one of the clever and legitimate reasons to get out of school, especially if your parents have exciting day jobs or, at least a fascinating office, but when their work is as ordinary and monotonous as it can get, going to school would prove more exciting. That is just what's in store for Riley in the deleted scene from Inside Out and she doesn't seem too keen about it.
Riley's five emotions, yes five, seem to be in agreement about that opinion and you can watch that situation in your own TV screens when Inside Out home release comes out.
The film is a product of Director Pete Docter's quest to find out how emotions affect our personality, especially when he observed how his cheerful and energetic daughter changed in personality as she grew older. In order to correctly portray the emotions in the story, several psychologists were consulted and the story was revised according to the neuropsychological findings with regard to human emotions.
"But we don't make movies for kids. We make movies for ourselves, knowing that kids will see them. But there has to be some kind of depth or emotional relatability onscreen" Docter said in an interview.
Inside Out broke the record for an original film, earning $90.44 Million on its opening weekend. On Oct.11, it was reported that Inside Out has crossed the $800 million mark in the box office, making it the fifth highest grossing film in 2015.
Inside Out home release arrives in digital HD on Oct. 13 and Blu-ray/DVD on Nov.3.
