Working out and building up muscle with a good supplement of high-protein shakes is a must for any man who wants to rock a boy worthy of action hero status. But what about the bros who want to kick it back with a couple of cold brewskies after hitting the gym.
One company has got you covered. For the first time ever, the gains you worked so hard on building, can be fed with a high protein drink, and with a cool malt beer at the same time. Supplemental Brewing has launched a Kickstarter campaign to get their drinks off the ground and into your gym coolers.
Brewtein, the company's first beer-protein supplement hybrid offering reportedly contains seven grams of protein, five percent alcohol, and 178 calories.
Meanwhile, Nutribeer, the company's version of light beer and described on the official Supplemental Brewing website as best served ice cold, has four grams of whey protein, four percent alcohol, and 122 calories.
Supplemental Brewing's Kickstarter campaign has already been backed by 140 people as of this writing and still has 20 more days to go. They are trying to reach a goal of $40,000 in order to start their fitness beer revolution.
As with most Kickstarter campaigns, the company is offering some pretty nifty beer and fitness related rewards per pledge level for backers. There are the requisite shirt and bag rewards, but further up the pledge scale, you get higher rewards like a Supplemental Brewing protein shake, blender bottle and even a 3 pounds "Beerbell" -- a beer cozy that lets you work on your biceps and triceps as you chug down a cold one.
