Hold on to your sweatpants kids, Jack Black's newest music video is about to infiltrate your day with all the '90s feels you never thought you could relive.
In this song called "Bumps Gonna Goose Ya!" Jack Black raps to a sick and slick g-funk beat. The video, directed by Ben Mekler and co-directed with Freddy Scott, also features MF Bumps in a ghoulish glam getup.
"It's with great joy-and more than a few earworms-that we present to you: The Bumps Gonna Goose Ya, our homage to those '90s, post-movie music videos of yesteryear," the Nerdist said during the release of the video.
The highlight of the video comes with a dummy bringing the house down when he says "do the Goosebumps dance" and "dance 'till you die." This is followed by a dance breakdown and the diffusion of more glow-in-the-dark apparel.
While not exactly in the million-hit category, the video has over 35,000 views as of posting and has some people jumping up and down over the hook and nostalgic feel of the video. They expressed their newfound glee in the comments section of The Nerdist's Facebook announcement of the video.
"I LOVE this! Especially as a 90s kid who grew up on the books and remembers movies with rap songs at the end! LOL I hope this brings back more 90s themed rap songs for movies! lol," said Andror Thompson.
"This is delightful! one of my favourite things of my youth were movie-music video tie-ins," Michael Meehan posted.
"That chorus, forever stuck in my head. Well played Nerdist, well played," Nate Buchman commented.
"Viewer beware, you're in for a scare," Black says before and after the video. Under no conditions should anyone underestimate this warning, because while the production may be entertaining for some, it didn't quite make the cut for others.
"This is pretty awful. Like..Grade A awful," wrote Daniel Jones in the comment section.
"This took time and money to make. smh," shared Chase Loader.
"Wow...I love jack, but the jobs he is getting have really gone downhill," Jay Tench said.
