Everyone has been waiting for "The Incredibles" to return to the big screen ever since Moleman's arrival and the family wore their masks again at the end of the film back in 2004.
Eleven years later, Disney Pixar has finally confirmed that it is working on "The Incredibles 2," but fans will still have to wait because, according to the announcement that the animation studio released, the sequel is scheduled to arrive in theaters in June 2019. That's a bit of a wait for fans, but worry not because the studio has got you covered with equally remarkable films until then.
The lineup of animated films by Disney Pixar starts off with "The Good Dinosaur," which opens in theaters this November. This film is set on Earth but with one big historical difference: the asteroid missed it and the dinosaurs survived. The story follows Arlo, a young Apatosaurus trying to find his way home, who crosses paths with Spot, a young human cave-dweller who becomes his friend.
Summer 2016 will be a colorful one with the return of our favorite fish friends (not food!). Look out for the father and son clownfish duo as they swim the ocean on a new mission: "Finding Dory." The sequel to 2003's "Finding Nemo" will hit the theaters in June 2016.
2017 is no exception when it comes to favorite characters racing back to the big screen. June 2017 will see the return of the beloved four-wheeled cast in "Cars 3." In November of the same year, Disney is taking everyone to the world of the dead with its colorful and culturally inspired film "Coco." The Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) inspired animation is Directed by Lee Unkrich who also directed "Toy Story 3" and co-directed "Toy Story 2," "Monsters Inc." and "Finding Nemo."
"To infinity and beyond!" Buzz Lightyear says, but "Toy Story 4" is no longer beyond reach. One might wonder what Andy's favorite toys have been up to after getting separated from him when Andy went off to college. It seems Disney Pixar plans to answer that in June 2018.
