The Collector's Edition For 'Starcraft II: Legacy Of The Void' Is Packed With Awesome Stuff

Gamers waiting for StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void should not dare miss the game's collector's edition, which promises to feature a bunch of exciting goodies not found anywhere else in the planet.

The collector's edition, which comes emblazoned with the distinct colors of the Protoss race, is the game's ultimate edition to date.

This limited edition collector's set features a vast array of rare and exclusive items to aid you in the final chapter of the epic StarCraft II saga," states the introduction of the collector's edition.

There are four main features found in the game's collector's edition. These include the StarCraft Legacy of the Void PC/Mac Game; Exclusive Behind The Scenes DVD & BluRay Two Disc Set; Collector's Edition Soundtrack; and StarCraft Field Manual.

The StarCraft Legacy of the Void PC/Mac Game is the game's full version which is available on DVD-ROM.

The Two Disc Set is an exclusive set that contains more than an hour of bonus features. These features include a deconstruction of shots from the game's cinematic; a retrospective on the history of StarCraft; interviews with the StarCraft community members; and a whole lot more.

The Soundtrack features 21 tracks that are all inspired by the game's haunting echoes of the Void.

Finally, the Field Manual is a book made up of 174 pages that feature original illustrations as well as vital statistics, lore, origins, and other fun facts about the forces of combat and the technologies revolving around the three races.

The collector's edition also features exclusive in-game content which will allow players to perform a number of interesting stuff such as unlocking a trio of Protoss-themed portraits; achieving a new look for Protoss Adepts & Colossi; going to Azeroth on an epic journey; getting extra protection from wearing the latest Protoss-forged armor; defeating opponents and climbing the ladder ranks in casual play; and test-riding the jaw-dropping Void Speeder mount as one enters the Nexus.

As for the pricing, the game's listings on Best Buy, Amazon and Gamestop indicate the price as $80 which is twice that of the standard version ($40). Players can also opt to get the game's third version known as the digital deluxe bundle which is priced at $60. The bundle includes the game itself, StarCraft bonuses and other games.

StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void Collector's Edition will be available for retail beginning on Nov. 10.
