Live From New York, It's Hillary Clinton!

It's almost a custom for political candidates to drop in for a cameo on Saturday Night Live (SNL) or say the show's famous tagline "Live from New York—it's Saturday night!" Hillary Clinton, however, took it a step further when she played Val the Bartender in a sketch on SNL's season 41 premiere.

The sketch opens with Kate McKinnon impersonating a frustrated Hillary Clinton drinking at a bar and, after asking for another round of vodka, comes face to face with the real Hillary Clinton in the guise of the empathetic bartender. When asked about herself as Val, Clinton responds with, "I'm just an ordinary citizen who believes the Keystone Pipeline will destroy our environment," which the fake Clinton agrees and drinks to.

The two ladies poke fun at how Clinton took a long time to decide her stance on the Keystone XL Pipeline issue, over which Val assures Clinton that there is "nothing wrong with taking your time. What's important is getting it right."

The sketch also takes a jab at Clinton's support for gay marriage, with fake Clinton saying she could have supported it sooner, earning a nod from the real Clinton who also responds with "fair point."

All in all, Clinton effectively delivers her lines and also does an impersonation of Donald Trump's "Uh, you're all losers" statement when fake Clinton complains about how people only talk about the Republican candidate.

When Fox & Friends asked about Trump's reaction on the SNL episode, Trump said that Hillary was "smart to do the show."

The sketch ends with fake Clinton telling Val, "I wish you could be president," and Val quickly responding with, "Me too!" before the two join together in singing "Lean on Me," and Val the Bartender mysteriously disappears a la Cinderella, leaving only "a hard tan business shoe" for fake Clinton to find and dance with.

It seems Clinton was happy about the outcome of their sketch since she took to Twitter on Oct. 3 and 4 about it:

Hillary Clinton also fulfilled another role for the show: introducing the first musical number by Miley Cyrus, who also happened to be the host of the episode.
